Welcome

My name is Crystal T. Davis, and I am excited to announce my candidacy for State
Representative in District 61. With strong roots in North Carolina, I have dedicated my
life to advocating for and empowering the diverse communities of our district, and I am
committed to creating effective solutions that address our shared needs and aspirations.

Growing up in the community that I continue to call home has provided me with a
profound understanding of the evolving needs within our district as it has expanded and transformed over the years. I respect the rich history of Greensboro, steeped in promise
and hope. I am convinced that now is the time for our community to come together and cultivate a culture that guarantees every individual in this district the opportunity and resources they need to flourish, rooted in the promise and hope of our history.
I’ve been instilled with the values of hard work, dedication, and commitment from a
young age, observing my grandmother, Katherine McGibbony, collaborate with City
Councilmembers, Senators, and former Mayors of Greensboro. I have continued the
work of my loved ones, dedicating over 20 years of hands-on experience in community
engagement and service, specifically addressing issues of housing disparities and food
insecurities.

I am running to advocate for legislation that upholds fair housing practices, emphasizes
K-12 education, and allocates government funds wisely. My candidacy for District 61
aims to be your voice, ensuring every resident has equitable access to resources,
enabling them to lead productive, secure, and healthy lives.

I am eager to connect with all of you throughout this campaign, and I humbly request
your support and vote in November to serve as your North Carolina State
Representative for District 61.
